2015 is our 25th Anniversary, Associated Bonded Cables was founded in 1990 by Tony Welsby who had been a senior figure in the automotive electrical industry, particularly wiring assembly.

Associated Bonded Cables makes and supplies the highest quality wiring looms and wiring assemblies for both the automotive and mobile equipment sectors. We design and source components from only the best quality leading global suppliers of components for use in the assembly of automotive wiring looms. Our strengths lie in the design, sourcing and manufacture of complex wiring looms and assemblies for modern specialist vehicles which need 100% dependability from their electrics.

We can create both highly complex integrated automotive wiring harnesses for use in specialist vehicles such as forklifts or create ‘plug and play’ or modular electrical wiring assemblies for use in almost any environment - commercial, marine, off-road, racing and anywhere you can think of.

About us

Tony believed there was scope in the market for a firm that would provide leading edge expertise to manufacturers and converters of any kind of vehicle - from small mobility vehicles to 25 tonne material handling lifts.

The business soon thrived, winning work from Moffett Engineering, TVR, Land Rover, and others. The common theme with all these clients is their need for considerable expertise, an ability to design and assemble complex wiring looms and harnesses and a deep understanding of vehicle and automotive electrics.

Associated Bonded Cables is located in the Northwest of England close to the world famous Aintree Race Course, home of the Grand National. Its facility, at nearly 10,000 square feet gives Associated Bonded Cables one of the largest foot prints in its sector and enables us to respond quickly to surges in demand.

Today the business is led by Gareth Jones, B.Eng. whose background is in electronic and electrical engineering. Gareth joined the business to develop its quality management systems in 1990 and led the team to full ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.

While many volume suppliers may pay lip service to customer service, Associated Bonded is configured to put the customer first.

We are happy to design and manufacture wiring assemblies in volumes, from as few as 20 to several hundred or more looms at a time.

Associated Bonded Cables can handle a wide variety of designs and variants. Our years of experience really begin to count in this environment where we are able to provide custom designs to suit not only core vehicle designs but also to quickly add design variations as needed

We are flexible and responsive, able to quickly modify designs and get out a new product in days if needed.
